Email marketing can sometimes be overwhelming for those that have not had much experience with Email marketing campaigns in the past. Here are a few email marketing campaign tips:
-Know your audience. It is important that you know who your target is and that you appeal to his/her interests accordingly. Velocity has detailed lists so that you can play to the interests of certain individuals.
-Include the recipient's name in the Email. This greatly increases the chances of an Email recipient from actually opening their Email. If you do not include the person's name, they may think it is spam and block you.
-Avoid using caps lock or $$$ in your Emails. The header of your Email leaves the first impression. You do not want people thinking you are just trying to rip them off.
-Use Spell check. This is vital because people will get a poor impression of you if there are blatant typos and misspellings in your Email.
-Have a clearly visible unsubscribe link at the bottom of your Email. This is in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and is required by law. Besides, it is simply good business practice.
